Internet Banking


Q. What is First Federal Bank Internet Banking? A.

You can get free up-to-the-minute information about all of your accounts and view all account transactions including ATM and point of sale transactions. You can transfer funds between eligible accounts including making payments on loans or credit lines. You can download transaction information into money management software programs such as Microsoft Money™ (OFX) and Quicken™ (QIF).
All internal account transfers made after 5:00 p.m. MST will be posted on the following business day.

Q. How do I sign up for First Federal Bank Internet Banking? A.

You can call our Customer Service department at (505)622-6201 and have them send you an application or drop by any of our locations to get an Internet Banking application.

Once you receive your First Federal Bank Internet Banking ID & PIN number, you can begin using the service.

Q. I am receiving error messages when attempting to access First Federal Bank Internet Banking, why is this? A.

First Federal Bank Internet Banking requires an Internet browser with the highest level of security and 128-bit encryption.

Q. When I attempt to login to First Federal Bank Internet Banking I receive the message "Invalid ID or PIN". What should I do? A.

If you are having trouble logging into the system or have forgotten your ID or PIN, please contact our Customer Service Department during regular banking hours at (505) 622-6201.

Q. Why does it say that my account is locked? and what do I do now? A.

Your account becomes locked after three unsuccessful login attempts. To get "unlocked", contact our Customer Service department during normal business hours and they will be happy to unlock and reset your PIN for you.

Q. What if I forget my ID and PIN? A.

If you lose or forget your ID or PIN, you may contact our Customer Service Department at (505) 622-6201. After confirming your identity, we will be happy to assist you.

Q. What happens if I open an account after I start using First Federal Bank Internet Banking? A.

You will need to ask your New Accounts Representative to have your new account added.

Q. Why is my printout missing information on the right side? A.

Due to design issues, the normal "portrait" style of printing doesn’t work correctly. To remedy this, we suggest that you print out your transactions in "Landscape" mode. To do this, please follow the following steps:

  • Select Print from the File drop down menu of your browser
  • Click on the Properties button
  • Select Landscape in the Orientation section
  • Click Ok.
  • Click Ok.

Q. What is a VTXTLR transaction? A.

VTXTLR is our way of indicating that a transaction was made by a teller. This could be either via the drive-up window or the inside tellers.

Q. My ID is too long! Can I change it to something else with less numbers? A.

Absolutely! It’s easy to change your First Federal Bank Internet Banking ID to one of your own choosing.

  • Click on the Home Banking drop-down box (left side of the screen)
  • Select "Management" and click "Go."
  • The "Account Management Options" screen with appear.
  • Select Create/Change First Federal Bank netteller ID (Alias) and click GO
  • At the prompt, enter your new personalized ID
  • Click "Submit New ID."

Online Bill Pay


Q. How does First Federal Bank’s Bill Payment feature work? A.

Bill Pay allows you to pay all of your bills while on the Internet. You can set up future and repeat payments as well as check the status of your payments. You may pay as many bills a month online as you want. Payments are made electronically whenever possible. If the merchant you are paying does not accept electronic payments, a paper check is automatically prepared and mailed to them. There is not a charge for the bill pay feature.

Q. How do I sign up for Online Bill Pay? A.

You must meet the following criteria to use the service:

  • Be a First Federal Bank customer
  • Have a Checking Account
  • Be enrolled in First Federal Bank Internet Banking

Simply sign an application form and bring it to the nearest First Federal Bank branch.

Once you receive your First Federal Bank Internet Banking ID & PIN , you can begin using the services.

Q. Are there any businesses / individuals that I can’t pay via online Bill Pay? A.

At the present time, the only institutions that you can not pay online are those that are court ordered and go to a payment center (i.e. Alimony or child support payments). Some of these payment centers don’t allow you to pay with a check so they don’t allow online payment either.

Q. How do I know if a bill will be paid electronically or by check? A.

When setting up payees, you will see a field that will tell you if the payee is electronic or check.

Q. How many days must I allow for a payment to reach the payee? A.

Electronic payments should be scheduled 3 business days prior to the due date shown on your bill.
Check payments should be scheduled 5 business days prior to the due date to guarantee delivery to the payee by the due date.




Helpful Hint: To see how Bill Pay works, send a payment to yourself. This will allow you to see what the check looks like and verify all of the information on the check, such as your name, address, and account number.

Q. Can I edit a payee’s address? A.

No, you must set up a new payee with the correct address and delete the old one.
